Flytipping in Drainage Ditches
Highways have contacted the Parish Office with regard to fly tipping in Drainage ditches within the village.
There is an issue with grass cuttings, hedge trimmings etc. being deposited into ditches, this is then causes an issue with localised flooding and the blocking of pipes as well as the ditches themselves.
These ditches are part of a large network channelling surface water, and need to be kept clear to enable the system to work, and we have been asked to pass their information along and ask Parishioners not to deposit any gardening rubbish into ditches.
