Mushroom Farm Update

The full planning application for 100 houses on the old Mushroom Farm site was approved by GYBC at the meeting on Tuesday night. Despite representations by the Parish Council it is unlikely that the full Great Yarmouth Borough Council quota of 20% of affordable housing will be met on this site due to the reported cost of clearing the pollution on the site. Discussions are on going between the developer and GYBC concerning this.

Back Lane will be blocked at the White Street end and a new Zebra Crossing will be built near to the entrance to the site. For more details see the Planning tab above.

The list of sites that could be developed in the village has also been updated and is available here.
