The next Safer Neighbourhood Action Panel meeting will be on Wednesday 13th September at 1900 hours at the Community Centre, Playing Field Lane, Martham, NR29 4SP. This is a public meeting where you can meet your local officer and discuss any concerns you may have as well as having an input into the policing priorities for the area.

Policing update:

Please be vigilant after further reports of cold callers impersonating a police officer from Scotland Yard.

Callers are purporting to be from Scotland Yard Police and demand withdrawal of large amounts of cash from banks.

Police are urging members of the public to be vigilant when dealing with cold callers and that genuine police officers/staff would never approach residents in this manner or ask them to withdraw money.

Anyone with concerns about such calls should contact Norfolk Police on the non-emergency number 101 or 999 if a crime is in progress. Alternatively, contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.

 

Police Seeking Witnesses:

A 37-year-old motorcycle rider, who died following a two vehicle road traffic collision in Blundeston, has been formally named as Nigel Last, of Aldeby near Beccles.

 

Police were called by the East of England Ambulance Service around 11:35am, Monday 28 August, to reports a motorcycle had been in collision with a Vauxhall Corsa on the A47 Yarmouth Road, near the Market Lane junction.

 

The northbound A47 was closed at Rackhams Corner for a collision investigation to take place and reopened shortly before 5pm.

 

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dash cam footage of the incident are asked to contact Suffolk Police on 101 quoting CAD 170 of 28 August.

This is a public meeting where local policing issues and priorities are discussed and prioritised with local officers and local residents.
