Martham’s Community Led Plan

Martham has a newly elected Community Led Plan Steering Group formed from villagers to get to work on this exciting project which aims to improve the village we live in.

Read all about it here.

Meet GYBC’s planners: housing, infrastructure, conservation and more.

You asked us, we listened. At a recent meeting with villagers, more information was requested about how planning works.

This meeting will give you the chance to ask Great Yarmouth Borough Council’s Strategic Planning Team all about their plans for Martham and how you can have your say.

Note: This is not a Community Led Plan meeting.

Here are some of the things the meeting will cover:

An explanation of where we are at in terms of GYBC’s Local Plan (Not to be confused with Martham Parish Council’s Community Led Plan), what the next stage will be and what the implications will potentially be for Martham.

How you can best get involved with shaping and owning the process of development in Martham.

Q & A with representatives from GYBC’s Strategic Planning team.

Myth-busting about planning.

Thank you to everyone who came along to speak to fellow villagers volunteering at their Community Led Plan information stall this weekend. It would be lovely to see you all at the next meeting on the 27th May 7.30pm at the community centre.

The stall was set up and run with the hard work and support of Mark, Paul, Wendy, Debra, Jo, Brian, Noel, Miep, Sharon, Ted, and Sarah. You all helped get the word out!

Community Led Plan – Another chance to find out more this weekend!

If you missed the Community Led Plan meeting on the 22nd April you’ve another chance to find out more and sign up to take community action.

Your fellow residents will be running a Community Led Plan information stall at the Scarecrow Festival on Sunday and Monday. Come and talk to them if you’d like to know more.

Note: Although housing development planning is an area that can feature in Community Led Plans, this programme is not purely focused on it. Equal billing is given to the whole range of things that make village life what it is – transport, education, opportunities, culture, environment, health and more.
