The site visit took place last week (9th May), followed by Tuesday and Wednesday in the courts at Great Yarmouth with regard to the claimed access across the Village Green. The Council was represented by Mr Vivian Chapman QC and the Applicant by Mr Philip Petchey.
The two representative Barristers have been asked by the Judge to make further submissions by the 31st May on five legal points.
The Barristers will then have three days to request an additional half a days hearing in front of the judge if they feel this is necessary.
The judge may then take up to two months to make a judgement.
The Parish Council has been wonderfully supported throughout this action by members of the Parish who were prepared to appear as witnesses with regard to more modern use of the Village Greens, and would like to express their thanks to everyone for their ongoing interest.
