Annual Parish Meeting:

The Annual Parish Meeting is a meeting of the electors of the Parish, which every member of the electorate is entitled to attend.

This year the Annual Parish Meeting in Martham will take place
on the 13th May at 7.30pm in the Community Centre. It has to happen by law, between the 1st March and the 1st June, and is called, and chaired by the Chairman of the Parish Council, if they are present, but it is completely separate and distinct from a Parish Council meeting.

If you would be happy to make a presentation to the village on behalf of your group or organisation please could you contact the Clerk, who will collate a list of those attending.

All Parishioners are welcome to attend.

Community Led Plan – Another chance to find out more this weekend!

If you missed the Community Led Plan meeting on the 22nd April you’ve another chance to find out more and sign up to take community action.

Your fellow residents will be running a Community Led Plan information stall at the Scarecrow Festival on Sunday and Monday. Come and talk to them if you’d like to know more.

Note: Although housing development planning is an area that can feature in Community Led Plans, this programme is not purely focused on it. Equal billing is given to the whole range of things that make village life what it is – transport, education, opportunities, culture, environment, health and more.

Update on last night’s Community Led Plan Meeting

We are so grateful to everyone that made time to join Martham’s Community Led Plan launch last night. We only just had enough chairs for everyone.

Over 60 residents from Martham turned out at the well attended meeting. They were joined in the community centre by representatives from the Martham Parish Council, Borough Council, Flegg High School, The Martham Sports and Social Club, the Playing Fields committee, Martham Youth Club, Martham Bowls Club and many more.

If you missed it, visit our Community Led Plan page for a summary of the meeting, what the last plan delivered for Martham and how you can still get involved.
